Akshay Kumar remembered his father’s death while shooting a scene of ‘Sarfira’, then he really cried and said- ‘I used glycerine…’

New Delhi. Superstar Akshay Kumar’s much awaited movie ‘Sarfira’ has hit the theatres today i.e. on Friday. In this, he has played the character of Veer Mhatre, who wants to start a low-cost airline. There are many emotional scenes in this movie. Recently Akshay Kumar told how he shot an emotional scene without using glycerine. He really cried in front of the camera during that scene. At that time Akshay Kumar remembered the moment when his father died.

During an interview with Galatta Plus, Akshay Kumar said, ‘There are many things in the film that I could relate to. My character’s father dies, so he goes through that trauma. When that scene was happening, honestly, I went into that trauma when my father died. I did not use glycerin. I used my emotions to cry. When you watch the film, you will know that I am really crying.’

Akshay Kumar was crying even after the director said cut
Akshay Kumar further said, ‘There were many times when Sudha (Sarfira director Sudha Kongara) said cut, but my head was down because I was still crying, because it is not easy to come out of that emotion. I had gone too far. I knew she had said cut, but it was very difficult to come back to reality. I used to request her to take long shots so that I could remain in the same emotion. Sudha had shot that scene with 2-3 cameras.’

‘Sarfira’ is the Hindi remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru’
Let us tell you that Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sarfira’ is the Hindi remake of the Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru’, which was based on Captain Gopinath’s book ‘Simply Fly’.
